A Primary School Bee Netball Competition is an exciting, inclusive, and dynamic event designed for children aged 9-11. Bee Netball is a modified version of netball that encourages skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment by rotating positions and involving all players in different roles.
Team Format: 5-a-side teams with up to 4 substitutes.
Rotational System: Players rotate positions throughout the game, helping them develop all-around skills.
Mixed-Gender Participation: Encourages inclusivity and teamwork.
Shorter, Fast-Paced Games: Games typically last 7-10 minutes per half, ensuring all teams play multiple matches.
Round-Robin or Knockout Stages: Teams play against each other, with winners progressing to finals.
Scoring: Goals are scored by shooting into the netball post, following standard netball rules.
Fair Play & Teamwork Focus: Emphasis on enjoyment, participation, and sportsmanship.
Roles Beyond Playing: Some competitions include non-playing roles like scorers and timekeepers to get all children involved.
