A KS2 Tri-Golf Competition is a fun, team-based golf event designed for Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11) students. It focuses on skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment rather than traditional golfing rules. The competition typically involves a series of golf-related challenges that test chipping and putting skills using adapted, child-friendly equipment like plastic clubs and oversized balls.
Competition Format:
Teams usually consist of 5-10 players.
Players rotate through different skill-based stations, each designed to develop fundamental golfing techniques.
Points are awarded based on accuracy, technique, and successful completion of challenges.
Challenges may include target-based chipping, putting through obstacle courses, and accuracy-based scoring.
Key Features:
Inclusive & Accessible: Designed for all abilities, making it a great introduction to golf.
Team-Based: Encourages cooperation and communication.
Fun & Engaging: Focuses on enjoyment rather than strict competition.
Skill Development: Enhances hand-eye coordination, concentration, and basic golf skills.
Tri-Golf competitions are often run in schools, by community sports programs, or as part of School Games initiatives to introduce young children to golf in an enjoyable and supportive environment.
