A Multi-Skills Primary Schools Festival is a fun, inclusive sports event designed to develop fundamental movement skills in young children. It provides a variety of engaging activities that improve agility, balance, coordination, and teamwork.
Target Age Group: Typically aimed at children aged 5-11 (Key Stage 1 & 2).
Focus on Fundamental Movement Skills: Activities enhance agility, balance, coordination, speed, and teamwork.
Inclusive & Fun: Suitable for all abilities, promoting participation over competition.
Varied Activity Stations: A mix of running, jumping, throwing, catching, and problem-solving challenges.
Obstacle Courses – Improve balance and coordination.
Target Throwing – Develop accuracy and hand-eye coordination.
Relay Races – Build teamwork and speed.
Reaction Games – Enhance quick thinking and movement.
Parachute Games – Encourage cooperation and fun.
Points may be awarded for effort, teamwork, and skill execution.
Some festivals may have a non-competitive format to emphasize fun and learning.
